West Indies qualified for the Super Eights following their match against Ireland which was called off because of rain. West Indies had better run-rate and that was good enough to take them them to the next stage. West Indies captain Darren Sammy praised all his bowlers especially Sunil Narine, says a report in The Times of India.
"Sunil is someone who brings quality to the side. We can use him anytime, during the powerplay, in the middle overs and at the end of the innings. It depends on the situation. He can come and bowl anytime, that's his quality," said Sammy.
West Indies will face England in their first Super Eight match, on that Sammy said, “I saw their (England) game against India yesterday. It's good for us and it would be the first time that England will be playing him (Narine) where conditions offer him some assistance. Last time when we played in England, the wickets were not friendly to Narine. We know that on a turner, he can be very handful.”
“It's a very important game for us. We do fancy our chances against them. We watch them play last night, we have enough footage on them. Judging from what we saw the other day, we have got some quality spinners and I am confident that they will play their part in the match against England,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mail Today reports that Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim said that feedback from former Pakistani off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will help his team play against Saeed Ajmal.
"Ajmal is a world class bowler but we have taken help from Saqlain who is very experienced. We have to execute our plans on the field and it’s a do-or-die match for us but Pakistan is not unbeatable if we play well,” Rahim said.
