Indian Team which took a day-off from training was back at the nets at the historic P. Sara Oval in Colombo.
A report in The Hindu says that the entire group of players and support staff were present except Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina who were down with minor illness. Yuvraj has a sore throat and Raina is suffering a stomach ailment.
Virender Sehwag received a minor scare after he took a blow on his right hand while fending a bouncer from Sachin Peres, a local bowler.
Sehwag rested a bit, played a few throw-downs and walked away but the news is that there is no cause for alarm.
Irfan Pathan and Virat Kohli played some lofted shots that clattered on the pavilion’s roofs and bounced past a few scribes, who were slouched over their laptops.

Openers Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag were seen slogging to find their rhythm back and also Zaheer Khan who bowled an hour in the net searching for his rhythm.
Indian bench was also seen in action and leg spinner Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan Singh spending quality time batting and bowling.
