Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who was involved in a lot of controversies with Kolkata Knight Riders and their owner Shah Rukh Khan during the first three season of IPL said that he shares a friendly relation with Bollywood superstar.
"I met him at a couple of events and we still talk. He's shuttling between movies and cricket, which is a great thing. He's a rock star!", said Ganguly.
Ganguly also said that he doesn’t miss international cricket, “I don't miss international cricket much. Even though I am not playing for the team as such, I am always associated with it.”
Two of Ganguly’s colleague, Dravid and Laxman recently retired from international cricket, on that Ganguly said, “The shelf life of a cricketer is short. Laxman has been a tremendous player and we should respect his decision to quit international cricket. This is a transition period, which paves way for several youngsters to play for the country.”
Indian youngsters are doing really well and Ganguly praised the players for their performance, “Having lost Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman, I feel that Cheteshwar and Virat are the best replacements who will take the Indian team a long way. But they have to perform consistently over a period of time."
