Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar has started his preparations for the coming New Zealand Test series, says a report in The Times of India. Sachin started his practice at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. Sachin opted out of the recently concluded series in Sri Lanka.
Sachin faced Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan in the nets. Sachin decided to bat on the fast-paced pitch. He then faced throw-downs from NCA training assistant Raghavendra.
India will play their first match starting on August 23 in Hyderabad. India is coming on the back of eight straight losses in Test matches and will be looking for a winning start.
Indian team will also play two T20 matches against the Black Caps.
Meanwhile, English pace bowler Stuart Broad has denied any involvement with Kevin Pietersen’s with the parody Twitter account, says a report in The DNA.
"Following Monday night's statement by Mr Richard Bailey, that he was responsible for creating a parody Twitter account in Kevin Pietersen's name, I would like to confirm that I had no involvement in this whatsoever," Broad was quoted saying in the report.
