Sri Lanka to devise game plan for Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli’s terrific run in the shorter version of the game can create problems for other teams in the tournament and according to the Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan Sri Lanka will devise a game plan to counter the Indian.

"We are not meeting them in the first round. If we have to meet India in the Super Eights or the semifinals then we have to plan against him," Dilshan was quoted in The Times of India.

"He is batting really well not just the last month but since the 2011 World Cup. He is scoring heavily and enjoying a great form. He is one of the best young players I have ever seen. For me, if he continues to bat like this then it's not easy to get him out.

"We planned for him in the recently played series but it was not easy to get him out. Twenty20 is a different format as compared to 50-over. He is a fantastic player and playing really good cricket at the moment," the Sri Lankan further added.

Meanwhile Deccan Herald writes that Indian middle order batsman Manoj Tiwary has rightfully earned the tag of ‘Mr Patient’ as he kept waiting for 14 matches after scoring his maiden ODI ton to play for India again.

“I would be lying if I say that I wasn’t under any kind of pressure. If you sit out for long, you tend to feel the jitters. But at the same time, I knew that I have the temperament and confidence to perform on big stage,” the report quoted Manoj as saying.

“I have learnt one thing. I should treat each and every game as my last chance to perform at the international level. Whether it’s with the bat or the ball, I have to just perform,” said Tiwary.
