Flamboyant Indian left-hander Yuvraj Singh who successfully fought cancer is in the probable’s list for the T20 World Cup. Yuyvraj will be really happy with the comments made by IPL governing council chairmanRajeev Shukla that BCCI is satisfied with the improvement that Yuvraj is making and they are hopeful of his availability in the World T20 to take place in Sri Lanka, says a report in The Times of India.
“He has been practising hard at the National Cricket Academy for one month. The physios and the trainers are keeping a close watch on him”, Shukla said.
Meanwhile, veteran New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori is likely to miss the three match Test series against India to be played in August due to groin injury, reports The Hindu.
Vettori missed the second Test match against West Indies. Vettori is more likely to miss the India series. His captain, Ross Taylor was quoted saying, “It’s not looking likely at this stage. There is a 90 per cent chance Dan won’t be there.”
