India has plenty of options when it comes to part-time bowlers, says Dhoni

It was an all round display helped the Men in Blue pick up a convincing victory over Sri Lanka in the 4th ODI but then Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni emphasized on the role of the part-timers saying that they bowled well and the team is all equipped with options to trouble the oppositions.

In a report in The Times of India quoted as saying, “The part-timers bowled really well, the pace was important and they bowled to their field. This is the  reason why fast bowlers bowled just 18 overs.”

"What matters is the variations we got now. Manoj is the away going spinner for us, we have some off-spinners and also Virat can bowl his medium pacers with the keeper up. That is the sort of quality we have,” he added

"They bowled the right length to create trouble for batsmen. So have plenty of options now. Even when Manoj is not there, we have Viru and

Suresh Raina who can bowl. So if we don't get a perfect all-rounder, we are comfortable playing seven batsmen," Dhoni further was quoted by the Dhoni in the report.

Meanwhile a report in the Mid Day writes that Dhoni has lavished praise on his deputy Vira saying that he changed a lot over the years. “Kohli has improved a lot and once he gets set, he’s someone who doesn’t like to throw away his wicket,” Dhoni was quoted in the report.
