Rohit Sharma is one of the best talents that India has ever had: Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir who made a fabulous match winning hundred in the third match of the five match one-day series against Sri Lanka said that despite the team’s win India has to improve a lot. He particularly pointed out the death bowling as the area of concern for the team, says a report in The Hindustan Times.

Gambhir said, “We didn't bowl well in the last 10 overs. You look to restrict the last 10 to 60 or 70, 90 was too many.”

Gambhir said that it was very important for a player in the top three to play a long innings. He said, “Luckily and fortunately it was my turn today, one had to bat through so others can play around him.”

Gambhir also came out in support of Rohit Sharma who got a first ball duck and has scored five runs in three innings on the tour so far, says a report in The Times of India.

He said, “Rohit Sharma is one of the best talents that India has ever had.”

Gambhir also praised Suresh Raina who finished the match with an explosive 65, he said, “Getting 65 today was brilliant and he played the role that he had been picked for.”
