A report in The Hindu says that Nuwan Kulasekara has been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against India after he injured his groin while attempting a catch during the opening match of the series.
“Nuwan is out of the series. He has got a groin injury. We cannot get a scan here. Once we get back to Colombo, we will get a scan done and see the extent of the injury and how long he will have to be out,” Jayawardene was quoted by the report.
Meanwhile a report in DNA said that Team India has been fined for maintaining a slow over rate during their 21 runs victory over Sri Lanka on Saturday.
The report further stated that match referee Chris Broad has imposed a 20 per cent fine on Dhoni, while each of his team mates were docked 10 percent of their match fees.
