SP Misra suggests Paes should play from right, Sania from left at the Olympics

A report in The Hindustan Times says that Indian Davis Cup captain S P Misra feels Leander Paes should play on the deuce court and Sania Mirza should support him from the left with her "solid ground strokes" when they compete in the mixed doubles event of the London Olympics.

The two players are yet to decide on the choice of the court side and work out a strategy for the big event. "Sania has solid ground strokes. I feel she should play from the ad court. Sania returns well also, so she should support Leander from that side. Leander has always played from the deuce court and that is his strength," Misra was quoted in the report.
The report also writes that Misra rubbished the idea that the payer won’t gel properly as they have never played as a team since 2010 Commonwealth Games since they would have 4-5 days to do so.

"They are not newcomers. They have wealth of experience behind them. Paes has won 13 Grand Slam titles and Sania has been playing doubles for so long. So I don't see a problem in that. India have a good chance to win a medal in the mixed doubles,” he further added.

A report in The Times of India writes that around thirty thousand people gathered in Bakshi Stadium on Sunday to watch a football match between Mohammedan Sporting Club, Kolkata and JK-XI after twenty five years. The government on July 4 had decided to organize a couple of goodwill matches between the two teams at Srinagar first and then in Leh on July 18.
