Who was that girl Virat?

Cricketer Virat Kohli was spotted on the streets of Singapore with an unidentified woman friend on Thursday, says a report in Hindustan Times.

Apparently unaware that a lot of Indian journos were present there to cover the IIFA awards, Virat and the girl looked surprised. While he turned away from the cameras, she hastily entered a shopping mall.

Meanwhile a report in The Times of India says that foreign cheergirls from IPL’s Team Chennai say their Indian manager hasn’t paid them in full and can’t be found while the manager says he’s not absconding, will pay all his dues.

“This season’s IPL controversies refuse to die – long after the end of the tournament, some Russian cheergirls attached to Team Chennai are alleging that they haven’t been paid in full for their IPL 5 assignment,” says the report, adding that however, their hiring company – Mansion House – has clarified that they paid the full amount to the consultant, who’s responsible for disbursing the amount.

“The deal was settled at 70,000 for 16 matches per girl, and in case the team reached the playoffs and the finals, an additional amount of 5,000 would have to be paid for every match. Six girls – Olya, Tanya, Alena, Olga, Julia and Elina, from St Petersburg and Moscow – were roped in for the tournament with a promise of good payment, per girl. But even though the tournament ended about two weeks ago, the girls are yet to be given their dues,” says the report.
