A Times of India writes that, annoyed by the constant comparison between him and Sourav Ganguly, Shah Rukh Khan finally opened up on this matter and urged everyone stop co-relating them and asked the fans to grow up.
“Grow up please. This is sport. Let's play it like a sport. We keep on talking about Kings and Khans. This is crap to be honest. I say this with love and respect to all of you. To be honest, if we don't outgrow this, it is embarrassing not only to us, not only to me, it’s embarrassing for Dada also. We should get over this. It's not only unfair to me. It is unfair to the great legend that Sourav Ganguly is. Let him play his cricket, lead his life in whichever team he plays for, whether it's an Indian team, an IPL team or a domestic team. ” SRK was quoted in the TOI report.
A report in The Hindustan Times writes that even though Deccan Chargers are already out of the Indian Premier League, their coach Darren Lehmann has defended his players and said that he has no problem with their work ethics.
“The boys tried hard to win matches. We lost some close matches. There is no lack of work ethics and I am happy with their work ethics and their commitment to the team,” the report quoted Lehmann.
The report also writes that they did not excel at the right time and did not grab opportunities and in high pressure IPL games the plans had to be executed properly.
