Rafael Nadal defeated world number one Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-1 to win Monte Carlo Masters, reports The Times of India. Nadal by winning has ended the seven match losing streak that he has suffered from Djokovic in the finals. With the win Nadal now has 47th career trophy and 20th in a Masters 1000 tournament, he is the first man achieve that honour. After the victory Nadal said that it is amazing to win the title for the eighth time and it is an unbelievable feeling.
Djokovic who lost the match in just 78 minutes said that Nadal played very well and he deserved to win the title.
There will be tremendous pressure on Pep Guardiola and his team when they will take on Chelsea in Tuesday'sChampions League semifinal second leg at their home ground. The Times of India reports, Guardiola has a reputation of a man with the Midas touch and that will be tested in the second-leg. Guardiola since taking charge in 2008 has won 13 trophies with Barcelona which include Champions League triumphs in 2009 and 2011.
