Dadagiri at its best! Warriors end Daredevils' dream run

Pune warriors ended Delhi Daredevils dream run in the ongoing Indian Premier League.

The Indian Express reports that the Kiwi opener Jesse Ryder and one of the oldest players in the tournament Sourav Ganguly did the job for the Warriors. While Ryder shone with the ball, skipper Ganguly excelled with both bat and ball. Pune batted first and set up a total of 192 runs and defended it brilliantly as they restricted Delhi to 172 for seven.

Pune warriors continued their giant-killing act in the Indian Premier League as they defeated the much fancied Delhi Daredevils team, reports The Times of India. The captain of the team, Sourav Ganguly was the start of the night as he first scored 41 runs and then took 2-27 in his four overs, including the match-turning wicket of Kevin Pietersen. Ganguly was bowling after a long time as he previously bowled in 2012 IPL, but he did not look rusty as he dismissed the dangerous looking Pietersen on the first delivery that he bowled.

Ganguly on his day can outshine any big performer, reports The Hindu. Ganguly first helped Pune reach a good score and it was his partnership with Ryder that set up the late assault. Ganguly in that partnership played with great sensibility and gathered run at a quick pace.

Deccan Herald report says, that the former Indian captain never allows a dull moment on the field and he was at his best in his team’s win over Delhi Daredevils. Ganguly who was struggling with his form played a descent innings and put together a good partnership with Ryder. And when it was his team’s turn to bowl, he produced a delivery that changed the course of the match.
