Lasith Malinga injured, ruled out of IPL for few weeks

According to a report in Times of India, it has been learnt that Sri Lankan fast bowler and integral part of Mumbai Indians has been ruled out of the tournament for few weeks and has returned home due to a recurring back injury. The report writes that Nishantha Ranatunga, secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket, confirmed it to TOI that Malinga is back home but the Team Franchise is denying anything like that and said that he would remain available for selection for the next match, the away game against Punjab in Mohali on Wednesday as Malinga is suffering from just a back sprain.

In an interview to Mail Today, TP Sudhindra of Deccan Chargers said that he must have just played only one match for the Chargers and leaked some runs at the end, his aim still remains to perform for his team this season and win at least three matches for them.

A report in The Hindustan Times says that Allan Donald has credited Pune Warriors Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly for their team’s initial success and believes that Ganguly’s motivation will help him answer his critics. Donald feels that he is really motivated to contribute and he showed his motivation in the match against Chennai Super Kings where he smashed Doug Bollinger for three fours in one over and he is just one knock away from showing what a world class player he is.
