The International Olympic Committee has decided not to take any action the former chief of Indian Olympic Association Suresh Kalmadi has pulled out from the functioning of the association himself said a report in the Daily Mail.
Kalmadi, who is facing charges of misappropriation of funds during the conduct of the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games received bail, is out of jail on bail.
The IOC who has been demanding action against Kalmadi from the IOA and had even threatened to take up the matter with its ethics commission however decided not to take any action against him it its executive board meeting in Lausanne.
Mukesh Kumar not happy with Hockey India
Three-time Olympian Mukesh Kumar is not happy with the treatment meted out to him by Hockey India and feels that he has been insulted by Hockey India. “I have been insulted by Hockey India for the second time. Some time back, they brought in Harendra Singh although I had been originally appointed as the chief coach of the juniors. They put me in after Harendra quit the camp. Now, Saini has been brought in,” Daily News and Analysis quoted Mukesh Kumar
“I have represented India in more than 300 international matches, three Olympic Games, two World Cups and two Asiads. I should not be getting this kind of treatment. Till today, Hockey India has not told me that I have been sacked,” Mukesh said.
