Zlatan Ibrahimović missed the first part of pre-season after playing for Sweden at Euro 2016. He trained for the first time on Thursday with his new Manchester United team-mates. He and his new team-mates have been preparing for their pre-season friendly against Galatasaray which is on Saturday. The friendly match is going to be played in his home country of Sweden.
Manchester United even tweeted a video of the striker with Ashley Young and Marcus Rashford training on the field.
United skipper Wayne Rooney said earlier this week that he was looking forward to linking up with Ibrahimovic. Rooney said, “I’m looking forward to it”. Mourinho too has been all praise for the striker. He said, “The best suits are suits by measure. You go for a size that fits you. Same for players. No two players are the same. The decision on Zlatan is the consequence of many hours of study. He was out (of the Euros) one match before the English guys. The body and mind is different. Players prepare in a different way. We're trying to do suits by measure and to be perfect for the person.”
Zlatan arrived via free transfer to United as he was a free agent. Manchester United would be hoping that Zlatan will be able to recreate his magic which was evident at his tenure with PSG. We just hope that United will be able to find their winning ways under Mourinho after some disappointing seasons according to their standards under two different mangers. If United want to make this season count, Zlatan will have to play a very important role.
