New Delhi: Vikrant Bhati , former international mid-fielder will  lead  a  20-member  Delhi  Football  team  in  Phase - I  Zonal  Qualifying Round of  the  34th Sub - Junior  National  Football  Championship for  Coca - Cola  Mir  Iqbal  Hussain  Trophy 2011 -  2012,  scheduled to begin  at Gurgaon, Haryana from  Feb. 19  to  26.

Mid-fielder  Shourya  Baliyan  will be the vice - captain  of  the  team  selected by  DSA  Selection committee comprising  of  N.  K.  Bhatia -  Chairman,  Rajeev  Gupta,  Hafiz  Shahid ,  Ashok Ghosh and  Coach- Parmod Rawat after  a  conclusion  of  15-days trials selection-cum-coaching camp  held  at  DDA sports complex,Jasola.

Goal-keepers  :  -   SAYAK   BARAI   ,    VARUN  BISHT

Defenders       : -    Mahender  Rana,  Rahul  Kumar,  Rajat  Bhalla,  Mohd.Akib, Ayush  Bhutan, Daksh  Ahlawat,  Anmol Ratan Bhasin

Eight ( 8)   north zone  teams namely  hosts-  Haryana,  Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and  Jammu & Kashmir

(Group - A)  ,  Delhi ,  Uttrakhand,  Punjab,  Chandigarh  (Group- B)  will vie  for  top  honours.

Delhi  will  open  its  campaign  tomorrow  against  Uttrakhand, followed  by  second match against Chandigarh on  Feb and  the  third  match  against  Punjab  on  Feb.24.

The  teams  reaching  the  final  will  qualify  for  the Phase - II "Final  competition"  to  be  held  in  Goa in  March 2012.
