New Delhi: Columbus thrashed Glorious FC by a huge margin of 8-1 on the last day of league matches at “DSA B Division Football League Championship” played at the DDA Sports Complex ground at Jasola on Sunday. With the help of this glorious victory, Columbus reached the Super Six stage.

From the beginning, Columbus were on an attacking mode. On the other hand, the defenders were not giving a single chance to Glorious FC to penetrate their protected area. Columbus, through the fine efforts of  Bhanu Katyal, who scored three goals in the 22nd, 27th, 29th minutes were ahead by 3-0 at the end of first half .

In the second half, the story remained the same as Columbus kept on finding the rivals’ net at their will. Sanchit (37th), Stanford Massey (47th), Stanford Massey (49th), Harshit Sethi (55th), Harshit Sethi (59th) made life tough for theGlorious defenders. But at the 44th minute of the match Jackey from Glorious  FC, scored a consolation goal for his team.

Columbus won the match by 8-1.

In another match, Lodhi FC suffered a huge defeat (0-7) at the hands of Royal FC. Royal FC moved into the Super Six stage.
