Kolkata: Mohun Bagan got some respite in connection to the postponement of their match against Pailan Arrows as the city civil court has asked the All India Football Federation to take anu such steps.
Mohun Bagan decided to go the court after the All India Football Federation decided to defer the match number 72 as the status and necassary action against Bagan in relation to their abandoning of the Kolkata Derby against East Bengal is still under consideration.
The court, in an ex-parte order, has now stayed the AIFF from taking any action against them without a proper hearing. The order means that the AIFF cannot postpont any of the Bagan matches and all their subsequent ties as on now are on schedule.
The federation is likely to move a higher court against the decision today.
