Nahan: Riding on a hat-trick by Luv Preet, DFA Solan thrashed DFA Kangra 7-0 in the ongoing ONGC Youth Football Festival here today.

Sudhir scored a brace, whereas Jasprit and Debakar scored goal apiece.

However, the Solan could not sustain their momentum as they lost DFA Una on penalties. After a 1-1 deadlock at the end of stipulated 60 minutes, Una won 4-2 in the tie breaker.

SAI Kangra entered the main phase of the tournament where they will battle it out for the trophy with top teams from other states. After defeating DFA Mandi 5-2 in the morning, they got better of Sirmour Red 2-0.

Meanwhile Pinegrow School, Solan lost 0-1 to DFA Hamirpur. Ishant Rana was the hero for the Hamirpur side, scoring in the 40th minute.
