Pune, 1 November: FC Goa beat Inter Kashi 2-1 at the Balewadi Stadium on Sunday to record their first win of the MG Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 season. Francisco Feuillassier, known as Franchu, put Goa ahead in the 35th minute, Sumeet Passi equalised for Inter Kashi in the 51st, and Christian Borrego, known as Chiki, scored the winner in the 66th.

It was Inter Kashi’s third defeat of the campaign.

Franchu breaks the deadlock

Inter Kashi had the better of the early chances. Jeetu headed a cross wide, and Ayush Chikkara shot over the bar from around 25 yards.

Goa grew into the game and went ahead through Franchu. Isak Ralte drove forward, turned away from his marker and set up Franchu, who side-footed the ball into the bottom corner. Isak nearly doubled the lead a few minutes later, but his floated shot towards the far corner went just wide.

Passi levels, Chiki restores the lead

Inter Kashi were level five minutes after the restart. Rosenberg Gabriel crossed from the right and Passi finished past Goa goalkeeper Bob Jackson.

Sandesh Jhingan headed wide from a set piece soon afterwards as Goa looked for a reply. It came in the 66th minute. Franchu threaded a pass through to substitute Muhammed Nemil, who squared the ball away from the advancing Albino Gomes, and Chiki scored past Pratik Chaudhary’s attempted block. It was the Spaniard’s second goal of the season.

Inter Kashi pushed for a second equaliser but Goa held on. Goa head coach Gouramangi Singh was sent off late in the game for kicking the ball away to delay a restart.

Earlier this season Inter Kashi faced champions East Bengal in a rematch of last season’s title decider.
