One of the finest match of the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League which saw two Indian players refusing to give up and rise to the occasion. Both Manan Vohra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, fair to say, did not deserve to lose but unfortunately there could be just one winner and this time around Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to win the game. Let’s have a look at a few turning points of the amazing game which was a delight indeed for cricket lovers.
1. Un-Warnerly Warner
Although David Warner scored his 5th consecutive half century against Punjab, this was a very unike his innings in which he looked scratchy and wasn’t at his fluent best. If Naman Ojha hadn’t played a cameo of 34 of 20 deliveries, Hyderabad could well have fallen short of putting a respectable total on board.
2. Bhuvneshwar strikes first over
When Punjab came in to bat they got no second chance whatsoever as Amla was removed in the very first over of the innings. As the game progressed Kumar remained his lethal best giving only 19 runs and picking up 5 wickets including the one-man army of Manan Vohra in the penultimate over of the game which proved to be the final nail in the coffin.
3. Manan survives
Manan Vohra did play one of the best innings of IPL but he also had his share of luck. Manan survived an extremely close call of LBW and a dropped chance at point while trying to up the run rate, but that shouldn’t take anything away from his outstanding effort.
