BCCI rubbishes report on Sachin’s future

sachin--newMumbai: There were reports which suggested that senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar had a meeting with the chief of selection committee Sandip Patil in regards to his retirement. Reports also suggested that Sandip Patil had requested Tendulkar to consider his future after playing his 200th Test match against the West Indies.

However BCCI has denied any reports and according to a source the veteran batsman or Sandip Patil never spoke to each other regarding the Little Master's future and the ball is still in Sachin's court to call it quits as and when he feels like.

BCCI looked very irritated with the news doing the circles and asked the media to stop speculating about Sachin Tendulkar's retirement as the master blaster has the right to decide on his future after representing the country for more than two decades.

Sachin Tendulkar has been out of form for quite some time and the runs do not come from his bat as frequently as it used to be. At the moment the little master is practising hard for the upcoming Champions League where he will seen playing for the Mumbai Indians for the last time as he has declared his retirement from the IPL and the Champions League.

Right after the series against West Indies, India is scheduled to tour South Africa followed by the tour of New Zealand.

The calender for the next year is packed with cricket and overseas tours while Tendulkar will only be available for Test matches.

Sandip Patil also denied any such reports saying that it is always a pleasure to talk to Sachin but unfortunately both of them are not in touch with each other for a period of ten months and there is no truth to the news.

The tour of West Indies is suppose to kick off in the month of November with India playing two Test matches and three one-day matches which will also mark Tendulkar's 200th Test match.
