Happy that this wasn’t a last-ball finish: Kohli

virat-royal-challengersBangalore: Royal Challengers Bangalore won the ‘Battle Royale’ as they beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets at Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday. Happy with the outcome, RCB skipper Virat Kohli credited the bowlers for making Rajasthan batsmen play shots that they should not have played.

"I am happy with the outcome as this was not a last-ball finish. The wicket was decent enough to bat and the bowlers made RR batsmen play shots that they shouldn't have played. I made one point to the bowlers in the meeting that they should try to make their own plans. I told them to decide what field they want to bowl. It was a smart chase and Chris Gayle and Saurabh Tiwary played a perfect role," said Kohli.

Meanwhile Rahul Dravid admitted that RCB outplayed them in Bangalore. "It’s lovely to come here in Bangalore but unfortunately the game didn't pan out our way. RCB outplayed us here. It was a 150-run kind of wicket and unfortunately our middle order is not really experienced and our tail didn't add much. Shaun Tait is an impact bowler and we have to use him time and time again, especially as there was Gayle around today. But unfortunately, Gayle changed his game completely today,” said Dravid.
