It's hard to stop Dhoni and Raina: Finch

m-s-dhoniPune: Brilliant batting by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina coupled with some tight bowling and fantastic fielding helped Chennai Super Kings beat Pune Warriors India by a big margin of 37 runs at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium here on Tuesday.

Sunrisers skipper Aaron Finch said that it's hard to stop Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina if they get going. "It's always hard to stop MS and Raina as they played beautifully. So it's back to the drawing board for us,” said Finch, adding that if you bowled the right length, you would get rewarded on this pitch.

“It slowed down later. To knock teams out from getting into the finals is one motivation that we can play for. The fielding was a positive, but those last five overs turned the match," said Finch.

Meanwhile, happy with an away win, Dhoni said that on these kind of wikcets it's really diddicult to know what was a good target. "I think we needed those runs on this wicket. On these kinds of wickets, you never know what is a good target and we did well in keeping wickets in hand. We slowed down in the middle. 160 is a good benchmark for wickets about which you know nothing about. It's important that we don't really eye 180 everytime,” said Dhoni, who was also the man-of-the-match for his blistering knock.

Talking about Mohit Sharma, who has been bowling well in the tournament, Dhoni said since Mohit has played a lot of Delhi cricket, it has made him street smart. “City cricket makes you street smart and Mohit has played lot of those games. He bowls with full effort. He has shown improvement in the last few games. I don't think we would really rest anyone. I think it's important to continue playing your best XI. This year hasn't been too hot, so I am not complaining about the weather," said Dhoni at the post-match presentation.
