I'm no God, I make mistakes: Tendulkar

sachin--newBengaluru: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who is considered as the 'God of cricket', believes that he is just a normal human being who tends to make mistakes.

Speaking to NDTV on the sidelines of the Sunfeast biscuits 'Eat n Meet Sachin' contest on Wednesday in Bengaluru,  Sachin said, “I am not God of cricket. As everyone knows, god doesn’t make mistakes but I do.”

Tallking about his role models, Sachin said that he always admired Sunil Gavaskar and Viaian Richards. “I always wanted to be the mixture of Sunil Gavaskar and Vivian Richards as both were my role models in my early days,” said the Master, revealed that instead of being happy on his 100th, he simply wondered why it took him so long to achieve that milestone..

“Sometimes, I wonder, how come it took me so long to get my 100th hundred especially when the billions of people were backing me for it. I used to ask question to my God why you make my fans wait for so long. I practice so hard,” said Sachin.

On his die-hard passion for cricket he said, “I used to maintain balance between my cricket and studies. I always used to reach for my practice before time and used to stay for long. Even if it was dusk, I still used to play outside and that’s what kept my hunger of scoring runs going on and on. Without cricket, I would have been nothing.”

“It doesn’t matter whether you have 10 pair of jeans or 20 T-shirts, once you get the Jersey of Indian Team that is the best thing that can happen to you. It’s like a dream come true for me when I wore that jersey for the very first time,” said Sachin.
