I’m just happy with the way I’m batting: Rayudu

ambati-rayuduChennai: Ambati Rayudu has created lot of buzz not only in domestic cricket but also in the first class cricket. His match-winning century against Ranji champions Mumbai and now his magnificent knock of 87 runs against Australia in the first practice match must have surely captured some eyeballs.

When asked about his knock Rayudu said, “I’m really happy that I batted well today. Just want to keep growing from strength to strength. I’m in a good frame of mind. I’m just happy with the way I am batting. I always try to motivate myself by playing well for my team.”

Talking about the wicket, Rayudu said that there was enough turn in the wicket. “It was very slow. But their length wasn’t really great,” he said. Rayudu was seen mingling with Glenn Maxwell, his new teammate in MI. “He was just trying to know about the conditions here!” said Rayudu.

The 27-year-old also added that he has not made any change to his technique. “I’ve worked a lot on my game with Robin Singh and Sanath Kumar. I’m happy that I am able to score runs consistently and for that I always try to spend as much time as possible in the middle to read the game well and make myself feel comfortable.”
