Ind vs Eng: Players who can make the difference

Ind vs Eng: Players who can make the differenceIndia will take on England in the first T20 of the two match series at Pune today. The two teams are coming on the back of an interesting four match Test series and will quickly have to get into the T20 mold.

England had a wonderful Test series where they won a series on Indian soil after a gap of 28 years. They played some phenomenal cricket and dominated India in the last three Test. They will be delighted with their performance and will be looking to replicate their form in the shortest format.

India on the other hand are under tremendous pressure. Their performance was poor in the Test series and they will be looking to get good result out of these two T20s.

Let’s have a look at some of the players who can make the difference in the first T20 match:

India:

Virat Kohli:
Kohli made a very good hundred in the last innings of the Test series. He looked confident in the innings and the team will be happy that their key men is back in good form. Kohli has been wonderful for team India in one-dayers and T20s and they will be hoping for a match winning innings from him.

Suresh Raina:
He was not picked in the Test series and Raina will be itching to make his presence felt in the first T20. He has been a genuine match winner for India in the shortest format and is one of the most dangerous players going around.

R Ashwin:
He was one of the biggest disappointment for India in the Test series but T20 cricket is his forte. His variation comes handy in the shortest format and he is more suited for this kind of cricket.

Ravindra Jadeja:
He played in the last Test and did bowl well. He is a wicket to wicket bowler and can come up with a good four over spell. Pune wicket is often very slow and Jadeja can make full use of that.

England:

Eoin Morgan:
He will captain the English side in the absence of Stuart Broad. Morgan is an innovative player and has won England many matches. He is very quick on his feet and can play really well in the middle overs.

Luke Wright:
He was very good for England in the ICC T20 World Cup. He opens the innings for the team and can take the game away in the first six overs. He is very good with the ball and can bowl at brisk pace.

Jade Dernbach:
He is England’s T20 specialist. Dernbach has a lot of variations and will lead the attack. He enjoys bowling in the death overs and has the ability to produce some good slower deliveries and Yorkers.

Samit Patel:
Patel will play the role of an all-rounder for the team. He plays spinners well and can hit them for boundaries. His left-arm spin can also come in handy in the middle overs.
