Mumbai: Yuvraj Singh made a comeback to the ODI team for the first time since 2011 World Cup after he was named in the 15-member squad for the upcoming series against Pakistan.
Meanwhile Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has been under-fire for India’s recent debacle in the Test series against England has retained his captaincy for the series.
Yuvraj who was out of the action for nine months due to his rare germ cell cancer played his last ODI match in the finals of the World Cup against Sri Lanka last year.
Senior bowler Zaheer Khan who was dropped from the fourth Test against England due to poor form did not make it to the squad, while Virender Sehwag who made himself available for T20s against England was picked up for the three match ODI series.
Ajinkya Rahane was named in the squad in place of Sachin Tendulkar who retired from ODIs on Sunday morning.
The team for the T20 matches against Pakistan was also announced and it remained same except for Ishant Sharma who replaced Abhimanyu Mithun in the side.
