Bangalore: Karnataka defeated Delhi by 159 runs in a Group B Ranji Trophy match being played at  M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

Delhi chasing a stiff target of 410 to win were 35/3 at the start of the final day. M Sharma (4) and Mithun Manhas (1*) resumed the innings for  Delhi on the last day. Sharma lost his wicket to Abhimanyu Mithun very early in the day.

The fifth Delhi wicket fell on 76 and it looked as if the match will end very early. But some good batting from Manhas (80) and Rajat Bhatia (63) delayed the inevitable as they put together 110 runs for the sixth wicket.

Both batsmen got out in quick succession and despite a good innings of 41 from Sumit Narwal down the order, Delhi lost convincingly.

Vinay Kumar and HS Sharath picked three wickets each for Karnataka.
