Rohtak: A superb bowling performance by Haryana bowlers helped them beat a strong Delhi unit by 83 runs in their Group B Ranji Trophy match being played at Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Rohtak.

Haryana resumed their innings at 167-6 and lost the wicket of Jayant Yadav at the same score. Amit Mishra who was unbeaten on 50 played some attacking strokes at the other end and ensured that the target gets close to the 300 run mark.

The Haryana innings ended at 209 with Sumit Narwal picking a five wicket haul for Delhi.

Delhi in reply got off to a bad start as they lost first innings top-scorer Unmukt Chand on the second delivery of the innings. Shikhar Dhawan (32) and Mohit Sharma (42) had a good second wicket stand before a run-out cost Dhawan his wicket.

Sharma then got together with Mithun Manhas (73) and they took the score past the 100 mark. Amit Mishra then got going for Haryana and got both the batsmen out. He went on to pick four wickets to ensure that Haryana get all the points from the match.
