Durban:Mumbai Indians finished Champions League Twenty20 without a single win as they succumbed to a 12 runs defeat against Sydney Sixers in their last match.
Harbhajan Singh expressed his frustration in the post match presentation ceremony saying that the loss hurt him.
“This game hurt me more than the previous losses. Against Chennai we fought hard but we didn’t play well in this match. 137 was very much gettable, I think we batted slowly in the opening overs,” said Harbhajan.
Harbhajan blemed the poor starts for Mumbai Indians poor show in the tournament. “In all the games we played, we didn’t get good start in the first six overs. One has to get good starts in the games like these, even against Chennai Super Kings we got off to a bad starts,” said Harbhajan.
On the team’s overall performance, he said, “We bowled well in all the matches. It was a good performance from our bowlers. We tried our best, but the others teams played better than us.”
Brad Haddin whose team has won all their four matches said, “We were confident after getting 136 runs, we have good bowlers and they did their job well.”
