Players to watch from KKR, Perth Scorchers match

Players to watch from KKR, Perth Scorchers matchKolkata Knight Riders will take on Perth Scorchers from Australia in a crucial Group A encounter of the ongoing Champions League Twenty20. KKR have lost both their previous two matches and are in a must-win position.

Champions League Twenty20 this year is going on unexpected lines as the favored IPL teams are struggling to get any points again their name. Only Delhi Daredevils have won a match so far in this tournament and that too was against another IPL side, the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Let’s have a look at some key players from both sides.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Jacques Kallis: Kallis is one of the most consistent batsmen no matter what format he plays in. Kolkata need their big guns to fire and Kallis is one of them. Kallis knows all about South African conditions and his captain will be hoping that he can play a big innings in this match. He has been bowling quite well and has looked threatening at
times.

Brendon McCullum: He looked good in the last match but got out trying to up the run-rate. McCullum is one of the most experienced guys when it comes to playing T20s and his team will be banking on him to deliver. He is perfectly suited for the bouncy conditions.

Sunil Narine: He is the best bowler in the KKR side and has performed brilliantly in the past two matches. He has being among wickets and provided crucial break-throughs time and again. He will want to deliver on the expected lines once again.

Shakib Al Hasan: It will be interesting to see whether Gambhir will pick Shakib over Brett Lee once again. If Shakib plays than he will have to bowl well and support Narine. He was not very effective in the last match and his captain will be hoping for a good spell of bowling from him.

Perth Scorchers:

Herschelle Gibbs: He is very experienced and was once the fiercest hitters of the cricket ball. Gibbs plays T20 cricket all round the world and has got tremendous experience playing in the 20 over cricket. He is an explosive batsmen on top of the order and KKR will
look to get him out of the way very early in the innings.

Simon Katich: He is a very consistent batsmen and played well against the Titans. Katich can play according to the situation and is very good in maneuvering the strike. He is very effective against the spinners and his battle against Narine will be exciting to see.

Brad Hogg: He is the oldest player in the circuit but that hardly matters for this flamboyant spinner. He is an ultimate competitor and gives his hundred percent in every match he plays. He is quite deceptive in the air and batsmen always find it difficult to pick his wrong-one. He will be important in the middle overs.

Nathan Rimmington: He bowled very well against the Titans in the last match and will be looking to repeat his feat. He likes to bowl fast and can be quite dangerous with the new ball. KKR batsmen will have to be a bit cautious against him.
