Chandigarh: After making a successful comeback in the T20 World Cup, mercurial Indian all rounder Yuvraj Singh wants to earn back his Test cap.

Yuvraj who took a sabbatical from the game due to a rare germ cancer was seen in a decent form in the recently concluded T20 extravaganza and now has his eyes set on the Test series against England at home.

Yuvraj selected to play for the North Zone in the Duleep Trophy will play at least three four-day matches and he feels that it would be enough for him to impress the selectors.

“Duleep Trophy matches will be very important as they will provide me an ideal ground to get ready for the England tour. If I can perform consistently in these matches, I can get back into the Test team. It will be difficult playing the longer version of the game but I am confident that I will be able to handle it," Yuvraj said.

Yuvraj further added that he is looking forward to making it to the team as all-rounder, and not just a specialist batsman. The dynamic all rounder has impressed everyone with his slow left arm in Sri Lanka and ended as the second best bowler for India with eight wickets in five matches.
