Johannesburg: Swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag who was battling fitness woes has been declared fit and will play in the lung opener against country rivals Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow in the Champions League T20 here.

Sehwag who was suffering from a ligament strain on his left ankle has cleared the fitness test conducted by Kirk Russell.

Sehwag who stepped down from the Delhi Daredevils captaincy voluntarily ahead of the tournament however did not get off to the best of the starts in the tournaments as he was bowled for a duck in the warm-up game against Sydney Sixers.

Daredevils in the match against the Australian outfits could manage only 107 and eventually lost by six wickets.
