New Delhi: Putting emphasis on the quality of players that India have, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that the team is capable of winning thw T20 World Cup to be played in Sri Lanka from September 18th.

The Indian team which lost in the T20 match against New Zealand in Chennai two days back have already landed in Sri Lanka and will play their first match agaisnt Afghanistan on Sept. 19. India won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2007 held in South Africa.

Dhoni on his team said that batting is the team’s strong point. He also highlighted the fact that some of the top Indian batsmen have the ability to bowl and that is an added advantage.

On the young players, Dhoni said that they are raring to go and it is important for his team to do well in this tournament.

Indian team has not crossed the super eight stage in the previous two editions of the tournament,
