New Delhi: Star Sports, India’s leading sports broadcaster who have the exclusive broadcasting rights for all pro boxing bouts of India’s boxing sensation, Vijender Singh will telecast his fifth bout live on Star Sports 2 and Star Sports HD 2 alongwith Star’s digital platform hotstar on 30 April 2016 at 10:30 pm IST.

Star Sports has acquired the rights from IOS Boxing Promotions and their UK partners Queensberry Promotions for the telecast of Vijender’s bouts along with the promotion and development of professional boxing in India.

India’s first Olympic medalist and former World number one, Vijender Singh who has made a brilliant start in his professional career last year winning first four consecutive bouts, will be playing fifth bout against French boxer Matiouze Royer on 30 April at Copper Box Arena in London. This bout will be a six rounder.

Commenting on his fifth fight Vijender Singh said “Professional boxing is new for our country and I am happy that the sports broadcaster with the largest reach not only in India but abroad is doing a live telecast of my fights. It’s good that fans can watch me live in action on Star Sports and hotstar. I am sure Star Sports with the largest reach will help us in making professional boxing a popular sport in India. I am fully prepared to take on Matiouze Royer”.

The fifth bout will be televised LIVE on 30 April on Star Sports 2 & Star Sports HD 2 from 10:30 pm (IST) onwards and on Star’s Digital platform, hotstar.
