Mumbai: 15-year-old Aadil Bedi and 17-year-old Karandeep Singh Kochhar have displayed some scintillating golf at Bombay Presidency Golf Course, Mumbai as Kochar with 12-under 198 (65, 68, 65) over three days is leading the tournament, while Bedi is at second position with 5-under par 205 (67-69-69).
Both are playing in IGU national Maharashtra Junior Golf Championship in A Category (15-17-year-old ). Both the players have scored under par rounds in all three days. Only these two players have played under par rounds so far. Jaya Pandaya, who is at third spot, is nine shots behind Bedi.
Both, Kochar and Bedi, are being trained at Chandigarh Golf Association Golf Range, Chandigarh under the able guidance of Jesse Grewal.
Aadil said, “The match is heading toward exciting finish tomorrow. It is a treat to watch senior player Karandeep Singh, who is displaying marvellous golf after winning last PGTI event at Kolkata. The course is playing superb with some fast tricky greens.”
“I am taking this match as a practice match as I will be playing CG Open here at the same venue,” said Bedi, who is a Class 10 student at Vivek High School, Chandigarh.
