New Delhi, 27 October 2026: DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (DP World PGTI) and Business Today have announced a partnership for the 27th season of BT Golf, the corporate golf series aimed at business leaders.
The announcement was made at the Qutub Golf Course in New Delhi, where DP World PGTI President Kapil Dev joined professional golfers and Business Today editors for a pitch-and-putt session.
This year’s series will be played in eight cities, starting at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata on 31 October. BT Golf will keep its multi-city format across major business hubs, and the organisers say more venues will be added in future seasons.
DP World PGTI is the governing and sanctioning body for men’s professional golf in India. BT Golf has been running for 27 years and was India’s first corporate golf platform.
Kapil Dev: golf teaches patience
Kapil Dev said: “We aim to encourage India Inc to experience the discipline, patience, and sportsmanship that golf represents. It is encouraging to see Business Today and DP World PGTI working together to take the sport to a wider audience.”
DP World PGTI CEO Amandeep Johl said the tie-up would also help professionals on the tour. “Importantly, this partnership will greatly benefit our professional golfers by providing them with a unique opportunity to interact and build meaningful relationships with some of India’s leading business leaders,” he said.
Dinesh Bhatia, Group CEO of the India Today Group, said BT Golf had been a meeting point for sport and business over the years. “By strengthening our partnership with the DP World PGTI, we are committed to expanding the horizons of Indian golf, making it more visible and engaging for corporate leaders and sports enthusiasts alike,” he said.
Business Today COO Alok Nair said the series brings together executives from many industries each year. “Looking forward to teeing off for the 27th edition with DP World PGTI across 8 cities starting with Kolkata on 31st October at the iconic Tollygunge Club,” he said.
Aaj Tak sports editor Vikrant Gupta and Business Today group editor Siddharth Zarabi were also at the launch.
