Miami: World number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia reached the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open on Thursday after he defeated David Ferrer of Spain here.
The Serb defeated the Spaniard 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) in a match that lasted for over an hour.
Djokovic would now face Argentine Juan Monaco who defeated Mardy Fish of America 6-1, 6-3.
