We have to be careful against Canada: Bharat

New Delhi: The Canadian men represented their country in the Beijing Olympic and will do anything to repeat their feat in the upcoming London Olympics. Canada will play the host in a crucial match on Wednesday and will have to play out of their skin to stop the Indian charge.

India on the other hand will try to keep their winning momentum going. Yesterday both teams had an easy outing, Canada thrashed Singapore 15-1 and India defeated France 6-2, but when the top two teams of the pool will clash the result could go either way.

Canada is looking in a good goal scoring form.  Three of their players Scott Tupper, Mark Pearson and Rob Short scored hat trick against Singapore.  The Canadians will know that India will not be an easy team to beat but going by their form they have all the ammunition in their tank to pull an upset on the hosts.

However, India has their nose in front as they are still unbeaten in the tournament whereas Canada has suffered a defeat against Poland. Indian strikers are looking in good form and their drag-flickers are having a party and this is the reason why India has scored the maximum number of goals in the tournament.

“We have been missing some goal scoring opportunities. We have to cut down on the number of unforced errors that we are making or else Canada will make us pay. We have to be careful against them”, said Michael Nobbs, Indian Coach.

Indian captain Bharat Chetri said, “We have to be careful against Canada, we have planned differently for different teams. Our players have been peeking at the right time and I hope that we will continue to do that.”
