Singapore not intimidated by India: Casoojee

New Delhi: Team India will play Singapore in just two days and both the teams are confident of putting a good show in the upcoming Olympic Qualifiers. India will start clear favorite against Singapore as they have much more experienced and is a much better side on paper.

Ahead of the match, Indian coach Michael Nobbs said, “We are very confident going into the match. The mood in the camp is very good and our team is looking to kick-start this very important tournament in great fashion.”

Indian drag-flicker Sandeep Singh said, “Every player in our team knows his responsibility, when we will hit the pitch we have to ensure that we chip in at crucial moment.”

Singapore team on the other hand is confident of pulling a surprise.

“We have to look at our strength. We cannot let India intimidate us as every team is playing for the same goal and that is to qualify for the qualifiers. Ours is a very young team and we will look to make our mark in the tournament”, said Solomon Yusef Casoojee.

Casoojee added that his team’s main motive is to show the world that their team belongs at the big stage. “Our players have the opportunity to play some good hockey against such good teams. If we will do that than we can popularize this game in our country”
