Ticket sale for Hockey Olympic Qualifiers starts from today

New Delhi: Online ticket sales for the forthcoming Olympic Qualifiers to be held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi from 18-26 February starts from Thursday. The tournament is the final opportunity for both the Indian men and women national hockey teams to qualify for the London Olympic Games to be held from 27 July to 12 August.


The tickets are now available online from www.ticketgenie.in

For the convenience of hockey fans, tickets will also be available at over 40 outlets throughout the Delhi NCR. The list of the outlets is attached herewith the release, with details also available on the Hockey India website - www.hockeyindia.org . www.ticketgenie.in

The prices for the tickets will be Rs.300 and Rs.500 for the 5 group stage days, with tickets valid for all the 6 matches to be played each day. The two classification days, 25 February for women and 26 February for men, will be Rs.400 and Rs.1000 and valid for the three matches to be played each day.

In the men tournament Canada, France, Italy, Poland and Singapore are the other participating countries besides India while in Women’s tournament Canada, Italy, Poland, South Africa and Ukraine are the other participating countries along with India.

“The pricing of tickets are set to enable all hockey lovers from India can come, watch and show their support for the Indian Hockey teams on their mission to qualify for the London Olympics” Elena Norman, Chief Executive Officer, Hockey India said.

To encourage hockey fans to watch all India games the matches for the Indian women team are scheduled at 18:00hrs with the Indian men match at 20:00hrs in group stage.

Hockey India earlier announced that daily complimentary tickets are available for former hockey Olympians and international players to witness the Olympic Qualifier matches. Former Olympians and international players are encouraged to contact Ajitpal Singh, Chairman Hockey India Coaching and Development Committee along with Jugraj Singh to request their ticket.
