Pakistan rout Sri Lanka 71-8 in WC Kabaddi

 

Roopnagar: Riding high on the performance of raiders Aamir Ismail, Imtiaj Aalam ((10 points each) and Ishfaq Pathan (9 points), Pakistan were on their way to redemption as they thrashed Sri Lanka 71-8 in the 2nd Kabaddi World Cup at the Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.

 

 

Meanwhile, sweeper Mohd Kashif Pathan scored 11 points while Mohammad Mansa contributed seven points to keep the team in the driver’s seat.

 

For Sri Lanka, Sashantha collected three points.

 

In another match of the day, the US team notched their second win by defeating Italy 57-37. Maula Kandhala Jatta scored 10 points while Dontte contributed six points. For Italy, Yodha and Karan Ghugshor scored nine points each, while Bitty Purewal collected three points.

 

Meanwhile, Norway got the better of Argentina 62-25. Norway’s raider Manjinder Singh Sonipattar scored 10 points while Kamaljit Singh Soni contributed nine points.
