Team India B, comprises of Devendra Joshi, Ashok Shandilya, Pankaj Advani and Rupesh Shah, gave Independence day gift to India and cue-sports fraternity by winning the inaugural World Team Billiards championship 2014 that concludes today at Glasgow.
It is actually a double delight for India as both the Indian teams were in final and Silver medal also received by Indians, the Team India A (Sourav Kothari, Alok Kumar, B. Bhaskar and Dhruv Sitwala).
Earlier in the day, India A and India B had knocked out England and Ireland respectively to secure Gold and Silver, but to decide the colour of the medals, India B team fought hard against compatriot India A where in the last session, Rupesh Shah defeated Alok Kumar and Pankaj Advani outclassed Sourav Kothari to register 5-4 win with the contribution of Devendra Joshi and Ashok Shandilya in earlier matches.
