New Delhi: India’s ace shuttler Saina Nehwal added another feather to her crown as she bagged the Australian Open Super Series women's singles title by beating World Number 11 Carolina Marin of Spain on Sunday.
Saina got the better of her Spanish opponent in straight games (21-18, 21-11) in the clash, which lasted for 43 minutes.
Earlier, Saina had stunned World No.2 Chinese Shixian Wang to reach the final of the tournament.
In a gruelling three-game semifinal contest, sixth-seeded Saina had prevailed over top seed Wang 21-19, 16-21, 21-15 in a match, which lasted an hour and 16 minutes.
