Kolkata: Rishika Sunkara defeated Prarthana Thombare 7-5, 6-1 to reach the finals of the NBCC ITF women’s $10,000 tennis tournament. She will now face Katherine Ip of Hong Kong in the finals.
Katherine Ip defeated Shweta Rana 7-6(7-4), 6-1 in the semis.
In the women’s doubles, Rishika Sunkara & Rutuja Bhosale defeated Prarthana Thomabre & Nidhi Chilumula 6-3, 6-4 to reach the finals.
In the second semifinals Kyra Shroff & Aranxta Andrady beat Anushka Brargava & Bhuvana Kalva 6-4, 6-2.
