Hyderabad: London Olympics quarter finalist Parupalli Kashyap made it to the second round of the Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open Super Series. Ajay Jayaram also won his first round match to advance in to the tournament. Earlier, ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal too advance in to the second round.
Jayaram defeated China's Zhengming Wang 22-20, 23-21 in a tough contest. He will now take on World No.1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia in the next round.
P Kashyap had a very tough outing against Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark. The India won the match 24-22, 20-22, 22-20.
Saina who defeated Aprilla Yuswandari 22-20, 21-8, will take on Wang Lin of China in the second round on Thursday.
