Hyderabad: India suffered a defeat at the 4th FIBA Asia Cup Basketball Tournament after they lost to Qatar at the OTA Gymnasium in Tokyo here.
India lost the match by a huge margin of 63-84.
India who are yet to win a match in the tournament yet has now will take on Chinese Taipei and it is a do-or die situation as they will have to win if they want to keep their quarterfinals hopes alive.
India proved no match for Qatar and were under trailing in the entire match.
Daoud Musa (12) Yaseen Ismail Musa (12) Mohammed (13) and Salem Omer (12) were the top scorers for Qatar whereas Pethani and Narinder Grewar with 14 points each will emerged as the best player for India.
